New Steps Befriending Programme

New Steps Befriending is informal support provided by our team of skilled and dedicated volunteers, for anyone who has, or is still experiencing domestic abuse.

What is befriending?

Befriending is informal ‘one to one’ support, 2 hours per week, that is just for you.

You can:

  • Talk and be listened to
  • Go out for a coffee or tea
  • Share a leisure activity
  • Attend a group; go for walk etc.

Who is the service for?

Anyone who is or has experienced domestic abuse.
